Postdoc in medical psychology

The Department of Psychology, University of Southern Denmark, Odense, embedded within the Faculty of Health Sciences, invites applications for 1-2 vacant positions as postdoc in Psychology to be filled in September 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position(s) will be for 3 years with the possibility of extension.

The Department of Psychology has been built up during the last 6 years and forms the research basis for the bachelor and master degree programmes in psychology at the University of Southern Denmark. Both degree programmes have been fully developed and the first master’s students graduated in August 2015. The primary research focus of the Department is on Medical and Clinical Psychology with a translational perspective. The research programme is currently organized into 6 main topics with academic staff members participating in one or more of the associated research groups.

We are looking for candidates with an interest in or expertise in medical psychology. Candidates with a track record or an interest in research on patients with cardiovascular disease, who have strong research and statistical competences and who are interested in teaching and supervising students will be preferred. The candidate(s) should be a team player, interested in contributing actively to the environment of the department, and help raise external funding for new projects. The post-doc(s) will be expected to do some teaching and supervision. The post-doc(s) will be part of the INSIDE (Psychology IN SomatIc DisEase) research group:

The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
