Unravel prehisoric adhesive technologies at TU Delft
Job description
In this one year posion you will analyse the GC-MS results of our experimental and archaeological collection of tars and resins. The aim is to pin point biomarkers for the characterisation of ancient organic remains/adhesives and their production methods. You will work closely with our technican, who you are also expected to guide. You will lead the publication of two peer-reviewed papers and co-author several others with team members.

Requirements
Required, must-haves:
- PhD in archaeometry or chemistry
- Proven expertise with GS-MS methods
- Proven experise identification of ancient biomarkers
- Exellent communication skills in English
- Publication track-record
- Willingness to move the Netherlands
Assests, nice-to-haves:
- Expertise with resins, tars and gums
- Specialisation in Prehistory or the Palaeolithic
- Experience managing a group or project
- Experience in the Digital Humanities
- Sense of humor.
Conditions of employment
Fixed-term contract: 1 year.
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (salary indication: € 3.703,00 - € 4.670,00 per month gross).
