Postdoc Algorithms for Advancing GNSS Applications

Updated: over 2 years ago
Deadline: 21 Sep 2021

The evolution of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) is ongoing, both in terms of system design as well as data processing algorithms, which are both contributing to an ever increasing field of applications in geodesy, autonomous navigation (land, water, air, space), geohazard monitoring, and remote sensing of the atmosphere, sea surface and soil moisture.

This research is carried out by a team, currently consisting of several PhD-students and senior staff-members of the Department of Geoscience and Remote Sensing, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences of Delft University of Technology.

The team is to be completed by a PostDoc-researcher. In this position you will focus on developing algorithms to exploit signals from existing and future GNSS constellations as well as signals of opportunity from communication systems. This will further advance the use of GNSS in environments and/or applications with stringent user requirements and/or adverse signal reception conditions. Candidates are required to have a strong background in mathematical statistics, signal processing and GNSS.
