Job description
The main goal of the research is to quantify the impact of hydrate formation on injectivity of CO2 injection well and to develop chemical-based solutions to either inhibit the formation of hydrates (preventive methods) or to remediate the injectivity once formation of the hydrate led to injectivity decline (mitigation methods). The focus is at testing the identified potential mitigation and prevention solutions including injection of chemicals to dissociate already-formed CO2 hydrates. The experimental program will be conducted in close collaboration between TU Delft and Shell scientists to align the experiments and research objectives of Shell.
