Job description

The department of Innovation Management & Strategy at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Groningen, is looking for candidates to fill a postdoc position in the field of Entrepreneurship. We are looking for highly motivated candidates who demonstrate excellent teaching abilities, show interest in pursuing high-quality research, and willingness to collaborate with colleagues and PhD students of the faculty. All applicants should have completed their PhD or be close to completion. The aim of this postdoc project is to further strengthen entrepreneurship education and research at the department.

As a postdoc fellow, you will contribute to various educational and research projects in collaboration with experienced researchers and educators in the department. You are also encouraged to further develop your own research agenda. Finally, you are involved in supporting the coordination of entrepreneurship related education and research activities.


Qualifications

We encourage you to apply if you meet (or are about to meet) the following qualifications:

• you have a PhD in Management or Business, ideally with a focus on Entrepreneurship or in a closely related discipline
• you have demonstrated competence in qualitative and/or quantitative research
• you have a promising academic record as evidenced by your CV and publications or working papers
• you possess good communication skills (English) enabling you to relay research results both to academic and practitioner audiences
• you have experience pertinent to supporting project coordination
• you have affinity to work in teams and can act as a collegial and connective coordinator with excellent communication skills.

FEB members publish in top general management journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Management Science, and Journal of Management, as well as leading disciplinary journals such as MIS Quarterly, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of International Business Studies. Our staff members are actively involved in many scholarly associations (AOM, AIS, EGOS, EURAM, SMS) and serve in editorial roles at leading international journals.


Conditions of employment

We offer you in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities:

• a starting salary depending on qualifications and work experience between € 2,960 and € 4,670 (salary scale 10) for a fulltime position
• in addition, the university offers an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus
• a temporary fulltime appointment for a period of 18 months.

Starting date: February 2023
