Role

The Erasmus Centre for Study and Career Success makes use of an intervention programme that has shown to be successful in raising students' academic performance and retention rate. The goal of this intervention is to help as many students as possible to reach their full potential and to reduce performance and retention inequality in higher and secondary education. Goal-setting research has been conducted in RSM since 2011 and is currently being rolled out at various education institutions in the Netherlands and abroad. Through this intervention, this university centre aims to be a force for positive change and increase its impact and engagement with society.

The Centre's activities mainly encompass the goal-setting intervention, largely focusing on the continuous development and improvement of this intervention and its distribution to education institutions. A large part of the Centre's time is dedicated to collaborating with institutions that are willing and able to implement the intervention for further research, thereby facilitating this entire process and the aspects related to it (e.g., legal, finances). In addition, the Centre is involved in the application for European funded projects and preparations for events, presentations, and workshops about goal-setting in general or the intervention in specific. Furthermore the Centre is preparing to merge with other university centres to achieve economies of scale. To that end, the Centre is looking for a projects and operations manager.
