Learning Technology Support Officer

Updated: over 1 year ago
Deadline: 18 Oct 2022

The best organization of teacher support around education applications ensures the best education! It's all about wanting to help teachers in this varied LTSO/ICTO function.

Technology and education go hand in hand. Educators cannot do their job without digital education technologies in their courses and training.

You have the passion to help teachers deploy the right educational technology and you work from your accumulated knowledge and solution-oriented drive to support our team of student assistants in this.

The TLS support team supports a wide range of educational applications. When changes are made to applications, we as a team need to make sure that teachers know what this means for them. You do this by, among other things, updating the website, training and coaching the service desk consisting of TU Delft students, and drawing up procedures to answer the complex questions of lecturers about the application of technology in education.

You are familiar with our processes and you continue to critically look for improvements. You organize the first-line service desk in collaboration with your colleagues, provide sufficient feedback and coach the service desk where necessary. You are an indispensable source of information for the service desk and your direct colleagues. Sometimes you contact a functional manager or other experts to find a solution. Together we go the full 100% for education to receive the very best support, in this way we contribute significantly to the quality of education at TU Delft!

In addition to running the support desk and day-to-day coordination, we are specifically looking for a colleague who will be responsible for the content and development of our Teaching Support website. Duties include coordinating web assistants and contributing to the editorial cycle: proofreading, revising, editing, copywriting.

In addition, we are looking for a second colleague who is happy with the management of our helpdesk and who can also focus on (and possibly further specialize in) one or more of the following themes: communication with teachers, tooling expertise (especially Brightspace and Ans) or data processing, visualization and analysis. Experience in the above areas of focus is therefore a plus!

Our (young) department continues to expand thanks to the attention for quality of education (support) and the role of EdTech tooling. It is up to you and your colleagues to properly implement these changes and to continue to optimize the supporting processes.

  •  You have completed a HBO or WO education.
  • You have experience and interest in supporting users of educational applications and have technical knowledge in this area.
  • You have work experience in higher education
  • You have experience with or interest in process and project work
  • Experience with data dashboards, management information, and communication towards the various stakeholders is a big plus
  • You like to tackle, are decisive and can switch quickly.
  • You enjoy working with colleagues on improvements in the support processes and at the same time you can operate independently.
  • You are a pleasant interlocutor at all levels, you easily make contact with various parties and you are convincing in your way of doing things.
  • You write and speak excellent Dutch and English.
  • Duration of contract is 1 year with prospect of permanent.
  • A job of 32-40 hours per week.
  • A salary based on scale 9 of the CAO for Dutch Universities with a minimum of € 3.098,- and a maximum of € 4.257,- gross per month based on a fulltime contract (38 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
  • An excellent pension scheme via the ABP.
  • The possibility to compile an individual employment package every year.
  • Discount with health insurers.
  • Flexible working week.
  • Every year, 232 leave hours (at 38 hours). You can also sell or buy additional leave hours via the individual choice budget.
  • Plenty of opportunities for education, training and courses.
  • Partially paid parental leave
  • Attention for working healthy and energetically with the vitality program.
