Join QuTech and support our organization in achieving our mission: developing cutting-edge quantum technology.
We are looking for a reliable assistant for supporting multiple scientists in the Internet research division at QuTech. Are you positive-minded, flexible, and decisive? Can you manage a complex agenda, and do you thrive in a dynamic international environment? Then this role is for you!
As a Management Assistant, you are the daily support of around 5 scientists. You manage their complex, hectic schedules and have a good sense of what support they need. Both within the organization and for external relations, you are the first point of contact, and you can prioritize requests and information. Furthermore, you are responsible for providing administrative and organizational support, which includes:
- Supporting the PhD’s and Postdoc students of these research groups.
- Organizing and taking minutes during bi-weekly meetings.
- Organizing broader meetings with internal and/or external participants.
- Arranging business travel from A to Z.
- Monitoring the procurement process and status of orders.
- Managing the administrative onboarding process for new colleagues.
You will be part of a team of seven Management Assistants who each have their own responsibilities. Within our organization there’s an informal atmosphere, and we regularly organize social activities. Because of the international working environment, you will often communicate in English.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, independent colleague with a ‘can do’ attitude. You’re a team player, a strong communicator and providing good support is what drives you. You’re stress resistant and switch easily between different activities while keeping an overview. As an expert in your field, you’re accurate, service-oriented, collegial, and tactful.
Furthermore, you have:
- A relevant education (at least MBO+/HBO) with at least 5 years of experience in a demanding (international) environment.
- A good command of Microsoft Office.
- An excellent command of the Dutch and English languages.
- An EU passport or a Dutch work permit.
As a Management Assistant at QuTech you will have a varied job in a dynamic, informal, and international working environment. You will be employed by TU Delft.
You will get:
- A position for 32 to 38 hours per week (0.8 - 1.0 fte).
- An employment contract for one year with a view to a permanent position.
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work hybrid (home/office).

- Up to 41 vacation days per year based on full-time employment.
