The Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN) is a dynamic community focused on high quality teaching and research. To main excellent teaching quality, the faculty is looking for two new colleagues with a background in clinical psychology.
Job description

Job description:

  • You perform educational activities, especially for the master Mental Health, which is focused on acquiring knowledge and skills in the field of clinical psychology. You coordinate courses, are tutor in those courses, train clinical skills, deliver lectures and supervise research related to master thesis work.
  • You contribute positively to the organisation and collaboration within the Section Teaching and Innovation of Learning and within the faculty.
  • You innovate learning and teaching by using evidence-based procedures.
  • You contribute to shaping, developing and innovating the curriculum of the master Mental Health, both in respect to content and didactics.

Requirements

Job requirements:

  • You successfully completed a psychology master in clinical psychology.
  • You preferably have a PhD in a clinically relevant topic.
  • You are motivated to teach 100% of your employment, with the possibility of doing research in the scope of master thesis supervision.
  • You ave excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in Dutch and in English. Regarding English proficiency, we expect C1 level. Please mention possible proof in your letter.
  • You ave affinity to teaching in a Problem-Based Learning setting.
  • You preferably have obtained the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ/BKO).
  • You have excellent communicative, social and organisational qualities.
  • You preferably have clinical work experience/expertise.

Conditions of employment

The position (0.8 FTE) is temporary for the duration of 2 years.

Depending on experience and qualification, the maximum gross monthly salary is
€ 4.670,- (on a full-time basis) in accordance with scale 10 of the Dutch university collective bargaining agreement. An 8% holiday and an 8.3% year-end allowance is also provided. In addition to good primary employment conditions, UM also offers an attractive package of secondary employment conditions.
