Organisation

The University of Groningen is an internationally oriented university, rooted in Groningen, the City of Talent. For 400 years, quality has been central. With results: in influential rankings, the RUG is in the top hundred.

Faculty of Law
Groningen's Faculty of Law, with almost 5.000 students and almost 500 staff, is a modern, (inter)nationally oriented faculty with a broad and classical profile. Although it has a four-century tradition, it continues to renew its education to train broadly oriented and skilled jurists. Much of its research transcends legal fields and is multidisciplinary in nature.

European Law Section
Within the Business Law, European Law and Tax Law department, the European Law section provides primary education relating to the European Union for the entire Bachelor's programme in Dutch Law and the English-language LLB programme. In addition, the section is closely involved in the Master's programmes offered by the Faculty of Law. The research carried out by the section is aimed at the law of the European Union in the broadest sense, with a focus on the functioning of the Internal Market and the relationship between the EU and other legal systems.
