Effective immediately, we are seeking an inspiring Work- and Organizational Psychology lecturer. The W&O Psychology group provides a bachelor specialization, a Master’s program with four specialized master’s tracks, and is involved in the Psychology Research Master’s program. Within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences , the discipline of Psychology offers a range of Bachelor's and Master’s degree programs. As a lecturer, you will be part of the Work and Organizational Psychology program group. The teaching and research in our programs is internationally oriented, offering courses both in English and in Dutch.


What are you going to do

Your role as a lecturer will consist of a combination of the following job tasks:

  • develop and teach (part of the) courses and working groups in the area of work and organizational psychology with a focus on sport and performance psychology;
  • supervising students with their Master’s thesis and Master’s internship;
  • supervising peer group meetings for internship students and providing workshops for students in preparation for their internships.

What do we require of you

You have:

  • a PhD in work and organizational psychology, social psychology, organizational behavior, sport psychology, behavioral economics, or related field;
  • a completed BKO (Basic Teaching Qualification) is a plus;
  • knowledge and expertise in sport, performance and/or organizational psychology;
  • English proficiency.

You are:

  • enthusiastic about the scientist-practitioner model in teaching;
  • a proactive, and consientious team player;
  • focused on quality;
  • adaptable to changing circumstances;
  • high on self-regulation;
  • good at planning and organizing.

Our offer

We are looking for a teacher for a temporary employment of 22.8 hours per week for the duration of two years. Upon proven suitability, unchanged organizational developments and sufficient formation space, the intention is to extend the employment for one year. There is a probationary period of two months.

Salary depends on past education and relevant work experience, with a minimum salary of €3807 and a maximum salary of €5211 gross per month, based on a full-time appointment for a 38-hour working week and in accordance with  the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities ). We additionally offer an extensive package of secondary employee benefits, including a generous holiday scheme and year-end bonus.
