    Are you passionate about teaching? We are looking for a lecturer as a temporary replacement who will take up several teaching tasks in our group. One of these tasks is that you will act as module coordinator for a first-year bachelor module on water management that consists of several courses including a project on the construction of a dam in the Blue Nile in Ethiopia. As module coordinator you will be responsible for the planning of the module and you act as the contact person for the students and lecturers of the various study units in the module. The total number of students is about 100. The module is taught in the second quartile (November-February). Next to this, you will help in e.g. the minor Multifunctional Fluid Defences, (Quartile 1) and help in the transition of study material from Matlab to Python. Besides these tasks you participate in other courses, supervise bachelor or master students during their thesis project and you can do your own research possibly in collaboration with other colleagues. We estimate the teaching load at 60%.

    The lecturer will be based at the Marine and Fluvial Systems (MFS) group at the Department of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering Technology of the University of Twente (UT).
