Lecturer in Strategy, Management and/or Entrepreneurship (0,7 – 1,0 FTE)

Functie Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) has a vacancy for a lecturer in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, or a combination of both disciplines. The lecturer will perform teaching tasks in the fields of Strategic Management and/or Entrepreneurship. Optionally, the candidate can reach out to other disciplines, including Innovation Management, Organization Management or International Business. 
The candidate will prepare and teach courses in our Bachelor in Economics and Business Economics, and in Master programs of the School, in particular our programme in Fundamentals of Business Economics which is part of the Master’s Science and Business Management. Possibly, the candidate also contributes to our Master programs in International Management, Business and Social Impact, or Business Development and Entrepreneurship. The candidate will take care of teaching in accordance with the academic and departmental guidelines. Teaching is in English. Furthermore, we expect the candidate to supervise Bachelor and Master theses and other research projects by students.

Profiel The successful candidate is expected to have a thorough knowledge and skills in teaching Strategy, Management and/or Entrepreneurship, more particularly:
• a PhD degree in economics, management or a related discipline. Candidates without PhD degree, but with significant academic teaching experience and positive teaching evaluations, are also welcome to apply;
• relevant knowledge and skills with teaching in (a subset of) the disciplines: strategy, management and/or entrepreneurship; 
• teaching experience in an international academic environment with the proven ability to inspire students from undergraduate to graduate levels, apparent from positive assessments by students and peers;
• excellent communication and coordination skills;
• excellent command of spoken and written English;
• teaching experience at Dutch universities is preferred.
Aanbod U.S.E. offers a fixed-term appointment of 0.7 - 1.0 FTE for up to 4 years in an international working environment. Depending on past experience the salary ranges from €3,821 to €5,943 gross per month at a full-time employment (scale 11 or scale 12  of the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities, salary will be adjusted to appointment size).
Besides that, you will receive a holiday allowance of 8 % and a year-end bonus of 8.3 %.
