Job description

The Department of Organisation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University, is looking for an ambitious Lecturer in Organizational Behaviour or Organization Studies who is passionate about teaching. We combine research-based education with a strong focus on societal impact. Our graduates contribute to society by applying problem-solving skills and state of the art knowledge. With Problem-Based Learning, we offer a student-centered learning approach that is different from traditional university education.

As a lecturer you will have a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities in the realm of teaching. These include the execution, development and coordination of courses in the curriculum of the department, tutoring of student groups, grading of exercises and examinations, and thesis supervision. The job offers involvement in different courses on a regular basis, therefore flexibility and self-reliance are highly appreciated.

Requirements

You have:

  • A masters or PhD degree;
  • A background in for instance organization studies, organizational behaviour, human resource management, organizational change, and/or leadership;
  • A powerful drive to further your career and the success of Maastricht University in your role as a lecturer;
  • A passion for working in a collaborative learning environment;
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and the ambition to make a positive impact on the students of SBE;
  • Experience with the Problem Based Learning approach of Maastricht University is valued, but not a prerequisite
  • Fluent English language skills, both orally and in writing.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: A temporary contract of two years, with the possibility of extension.

  • Salary scale 10 based on our Collective Labour Agreement (CAO-NU) and your experinces. This implies a gross monthly salary between € 2.960,- and € 4.670,- gross per month (based on a full-time appointment);

  • Attractive benefits package, such as substantial leave arrangements and allowances.
