The Maastricht University Marketing and Communications (M&C) department is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive (Junior) Student Recruitment Officer.
Job description

Together with your colleagues in the Marketing team, you will be responsible for the successful preparation, execution and evaluation of various activities concerning student recruitment for the university’s bachelor’s and master’s programmes.
You are part of the shared M&C department and will work closely with colleagues in the M&C departments of the university’s six faculties.

Main responsibilities:

  • Co-development of student recruitment plans for different target groups
  • Preparing and coordinating the daily operations of various (inter)national student recruitment activities, both offline and online. For example: e-newsletters, virtual fairs and open days, online/social media campaigns, visits and presentations to and from secondary schools in the Netherlands and abroad
  • Participating in university-wide workgroups related to student recruitment and coordinating activities with faculty student recruiters
  • Managing suppliers such as creative agencies, copywriters, video producers, etc.
  • Managing student assistants (selection, training/mentoring, administration, scheduling) · Coordination of (academic) staff involved in student recruitment activities
  • Administrative tasks such as the management of event materials, organising meetings, taking and distributing minutes
  • Co-creation of plans.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • HBO/bachelor’s degree within a relevant field of study
  • At least 2 years relevant work/internship experience, including experience in event organisation, social media and online marketing
  • Good IT/online know-how including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with lead management/CRM systems, basic HTML and CMS are a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, in both English and Dutch (written and spoken), other languages are a plus
  • Time-management and organisational skills, able to work independently and manage priorities, eye for detail
  • Enthusiastic about working in a multicultural environment
  • Eager to learn new things, open-minded, proactive, flexible and hands-on mentality, willingness to work on weekends and evenings.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

The salary will be set in salary scale 8 or 9 of the collective labour agreement of the Dutch Universities, minimum gross month salary € 2.700,00 and maximum € 4.078,00, based on relevant experience. On top of this there will be an 8% holiday and an 8,3% year-end allowance.
