ScreeninC is a KWF-funded national infrastructure that supports CRISPR functional screens for cancer researchers. ScreeninC is a collaboration between the iPSC/CRISPR centre at ERIBA (Prof. Floris Foijer), the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam (Prof. Roderick Beijersbergen) and Leiden University (prof. Bob van de Water). ScreeninC provides expertise, tools, service and infrastructure for functional genomic screens ranging from advanced model generation using CRISPR/Cas9 to large scale CRISPR screening. The three sites hosting ScreeninC (Groningen, Amsterdam and Leiden) closely work together in the development and implementation of new technologies for genome editing and screening and provide support for CRISPR screening projects to research groups in the Netherlands.

You will become part of the ScreeninC team and be based at the iPSC/CRISPR centre at the University Medical Center in Groningen. You will closely work with your colleagues of the iPSC/CRISPR centre, the Foijer lab, the Netherlands Cancer Institute and Leiden University. You will assist researchers who reach out to ScreeninC with optimization and execution of their CRISPR screens and furthermore be responsible for implementing CRISPR screens in complex model systems including organoids and iPSCs. Finally, you will reach out to (cancer) researchers throughout the Netherlands to inform them about the possibilities of CRISPR screens and how ScreeninC supports these.
