The Innovation Management and Strategy (IM&S) department of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Groningen, The Netherlands, is looking for two junior lecturers (2.0 FTE).

Job description
The new junior lecturer is expected to strengthen the educational component of the Department of IM&S. The junior lecturer is a position focused on teaching, with 90% of the time allocated to teaching tasks, and 10% reserved for research and development activities. Therefore, we seek a candidate who is committed to excellence in teaching. Educational tasks can be fulfilled at the bachelor as well as the master level. You will supervise tutorial groups and bachelor thesis projects and assist in grading of bachelor and master courses. There are also opportunities to contribute to the development of our blended teaching and the embedding of societal themes in our curricula. The specific tasks will depend on your own expertise and experience.


You will get an appointment for a period of three years, with an assessment requiring a positive evaluation at the end of the first year of employment.

We offer in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities:

  • a salary depending on qualifications and work experience starting from a minimum of € 3,226 to a maximum of € 5,090 gross per month for a full-time position (salary scale 10)
  • a holiday allowance of 8% gross annual income
  • an 8.3% year-end bonus
  • minimum of 29 holidays and additional 12 holidays in case of full-time employment
  • the possibility to obtain the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ).

Starting date: 01-09-2024.
