Our team and mission
The Product Assurance and Safety Office is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the OPS Quality Management System/Information Security Management System (QMS/ISMS) and the PA&S function in projects, operations and Programmes of the Directorate.
In addition, the office is responsible for ESOC Business Continuity Plan definition and implementation.

Field(s) of activity for the internship
You can choose between the following topics:
1) Topic 1: Trend representation of Key Performance Indicators
Indicators on system performance, on records quality and on effectiveness of process implementation have been defined and are regularly collected. Charts are already available to show the collected results. As an intern, you will develop trend charts to show the evolution of the collected measures over time, developing also the interface to retrieve the stored data. The project is in the frame of addressing the costs of non-quality in the OPS directorate.
2) Topic 2: Automatic transfer of quality data across existing repositories
Quality data are stored over various repositories and there is the need to link them for calculation and representation purposes. The project shall define interfaces for sharing process and information associated to Quality and Product Assurance. These interfaces shall link existing repositories and allow for hyperlink navigation (Sharepoint being the reference environment) and automatic retrieval and calculation.

Education
You must have student status and be enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship. You should preferably be in your final or second to last year of a university course at master’s level in a technical or scientific discipline.
Additional requirements
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
Educational knowledge:
1) Topic 1: PHP programming and maintenance would be an asset.
2) Topic 2: Sharepoint knowledge and Maria DB knowledge would be both an asset.
