Research at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) is challenge-driven, nationally and internationally oriented and prioritises societal impact. Research activities range from economics to business, sustainability, governance and policy. Projects are developed and realized on topics such as sustainable financing, insight into the influence of behaviour, innovations in logistics, the role of AI in education, circular business models, etc.

As a grant advisor, you will play an important role in supporting the academic staff in realising their ambitions in the field of research. You will proactively and reactively provide researchers with grant information and support, and advise them when applying for grants. You will work closely with your enthusiastic colleagues from the Funding Office, and would be part of the 14-person Research Support Office (RSO). Depending on your ambitions, there are multiple opportunities for professional growth and development.

What you will do:

  • Identify (inter)national grant opportunities, proactively and/or at a researcher’s request.
  • Discuss grant opportunities with researchers and advise on the match of an idea with a grant opportunity and corresponding preconditions.
  • Support researchers throughout the entire application process: from administration to content.
  • Monitor and follow-up on internal procedures.
  • Collect and disseminate grant information relevant to SBE.
  • Put together the monthly Funding Newsletter.
  • Provide training and information sessions, within SBE and/or university-wide.
  • Liaise with grant providers.
