In this day and age, excellent education and ICT go hand-in–hand, especially at an innovative technical university such as TU Delft. It is crucial to support education with the best ICT applications that meet the needs of both instructors and students. As a Functional Administrator, you will have the opportunity to play an independent and multi-faceted role in achieving this goal.
ESA's Information Management department is responsible for all centrally-managed applications used in or related to education. Our challenge is to facilitate education at TU Delft for almost 30,000 students and their instructors. The Information Management department consists of two teams: Educational Applications and Educational Administration & Logistics. We are looking for functional administrators for both teams.
Educational Applications team
For educational applications, we are looking for functional administrators for our learning management system, Brightspace, and the assessment application ANS. In addition, you might also manage several smaller educational applications and tools, some of which are integrated with Brightspace. You'll work with instructors and students on didactic features, consult with ICT technical administrators, and coordinate with other specialists and vendors in the day-to-day operation of the applications and requested customizations.
Educational Administration and Logistics Team
The Educational Administration and Logistics team is looking for Functional Administrators for our Student Information System (Osiris), the TimeEdit rostering application, and a number of smaller applications. You will be responsible for setting up new and maintaining existing processes related to student administration or logistics that support the student life cycle. Together with the team and other departments, you will be responsible for student tracking and associated supply chain processes. You will also advise on opportunities that you see in the chain and where process optimization is possible.
You are responsible for the management of the applications, their links to the functional supply chain, and the implementation of new features and functionalities. You are the indispensable link between all stakeholders and you take control in the broadest sense of the word. You will develop, advise on and implement (policy-based) solutions to requests or problems that arise within your area of responsibility.
As a Functional Administrator, you'll be part of a team of about 7 Functional Administrators within our Information Management department. The department also includes a reporting team, business analysis and project management. We have close-knit teams that allow a lot of independence and flexibility for everyone. At the same time, we work together in a relaxed and informal manner. You'll also be involved in projects to implement educational innovations. There is plenty of room to contribute ideas on how we can best do our work, with attention to personal development and work-life balance.
Thanks to your expertise and coordinating skills, education at TU Delft can count on perfect digital support and we will continue to lead the way as an international university.
