We are building a novel software stack to unlock the power of industry-leading in-memory computing technology. Our stack enables AI developers to transform their Machine Learning models into highly optimized machine code for the Axelera hardware platform easily and efficiently and to run DL applications with high efficiency and performance.
We are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full-System Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Job description
As a Full-System SQA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our AI software product. You will work closely with software development teams to define and implement end-to-end testing strategies for our software stack running across a number of different hardware platforms using our inference accelerator. The scope of testing includes functional, performance and accuracy testing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software developers to understand the architecture and functionality of the components of our AI software stack.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to assess the correctness and performance of our software.
  • Implement automated testing procedures and create test scripts to verify software behavior and identify issues.
  • Analyze and report software defects and work closely with developers to facilitate their resolution.
  • Create and maintain test cases, test suites, and documentation for testing.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure software stability across different versions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality and performance.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in software engineering and software quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a deep understanding of the following technical areas:
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting, with a focus on Python, C/C++ and Shell scripting.
  • Extensive experience with software testing methodologies and tools, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, and experience in testing AI-related components is a significant advantage.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ability to analyze complex software systems and demonstrate a strong grasp of debugging and problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of parallel and distributed computing and experience with multi-threading and multi-core architectures is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Job location.
We offer a flexible working arrangement, with the option to work from or relocate near an Axelera AI office (currently in Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland) or collaborate remotely from any European country.
