Engineering Manager - Cluj

As part of our team expansion, we are searching for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our cross-functional, autonomous, software development teams of 5-7 engineers. About the role and the team:
Our solution comprises a React-based web application and a React Native mobile application. On the backend, we are using Java and Node.js. Our services are deployed in Google AppEngine or Kubernetes. We’re using Google Cloud SQL, Google Firestore, and other cloud services offered by Google Cloud.
Our teams are organized around strategic product domains and work across the entire stack.

You will be doing

• Lead, manage and mentor a team of high performing developers with a particular focus on career and professional development
• Spend a large portion of your time hands-on - solving problems, coding and performing code reviews
• Provide technical leadership within your team and contribute towards the wider engineering strategy
• Collaborate closely with Product to ensure that the team understands what customer problems they are solving, why and to what timeframe
• Own what you are building, from initial discovery and design through to production
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork, and drive knowledge sharing across teams
• Recruit other top engineering talent and build a diverse team
