Job description

Within the chair group Horticulture and Product Physiology, we are looking to expand our education team to further strengthen our role in education and training of future executives in the horticultural sector. In this role you will:
  • support the coordination of teaching at our chair group, such as the BSc and MSc courses, thesis projects, internships, and outreach courses
  • contribute to developing and evaluating (new) learning concepts and activities
  • optimize and innovate existing workflows to support the education activities of our chair group
  • assist in the implementation of new (digital) solutions to facilitate education

Requirements
Our ideal candidate is a pro-active problem solver with attention for detail and efficiency, and enjoys working in a creative team.
Furthermore, we ask:
  • You have a BSc or MSc degree in plant sciences, biology or education
  • You have a keen interest in both plant sciences and education
  • You have very good communication and networking skills to build an education support network within the chair group and university
  • You have affinity with using digital tools and educational platforms to innovate and support our lectures
  • You are an organizational talent and solve problem quickly and independently
  • For this position your command of the English language is expected to be at C2 level . Sometimes it is necessary to submit an internationally recognised Certificate of Proficiency in the English Language. More information can be found here .

Conditions of employment

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive gross salary of between €3.098,- and €4.257,- for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 9). Additionally, a contract for 0.5 FTE can be discussed.
