We are looking for

We are looking for an e-learning expert in the STEM field to complement our current digital examination expert. Are you passionate about the digitalization of education? Do you possess great computer and communication skills? We have a vacancy for a digital examination expert! Will you join us?

Your job is to enhance the use of digital exam solutions to the faculty in our department, by providing a combination of software-based and content-based expertise. Part of your role is the inclusion of other-than-textual information (e.g. equations, sketches, code, graphs, etc.) within exam materials. Besides that, we expect you to lend hands-on support to our teaching staff by offering instruction and documentation of best-practices.
Wageningen University continues to upgrade her teaching, e.g. by digitization of the exams. This is an exciting prospect, but easier said than done. The Department of Agrotechnology and Food Sciences therefore invests in the expertise for such digitization of our exams. Our chair groups are responsible for teaching a wide range of courses at Wageningen University, organized in four clusters (Biomolecular Sciences, Nutrition Science, Food Sciences and Biobased Sciences). These include introductory and advanced courses on topics ranging from quantum mechanics and organic chemistry to biotechnology, food technology, advanced water treatments and health effects of nutrition. In this variation we try to develop tools and best practices for the balanced and efficient use of exam materials in combination with digital tools. You will work together with our current expert and lecturers from different chair groups.


We ask

We are looking for a communicative and result-driven team player with:

  • a background in the exact sciences (MSc level);
  • experience in e-learning in the STEM field;
  • excellent skills in (web based) applications;
  • basic knowledge of programming languages (Python, R) and html is a plus;
  • good-to-excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English;
  • a pro-active approach with a hands-on mentality;
  • good organizational skills with a support-oriented attitude;
  • a desire to function in a team with responsibility for the progress and quality of projects.
