Offer Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic community manager with strong communication and organizational skills to establish a learning and expert community on rare disease therapies. A key aspect of this community will be to cluster available expertise and knowledge to enhance both internal and external collaborations. Will you join our ambitious team?

Radboud university medical center (Radboudumc) aims to accelerate the development of therapies for rare diseases by filling the gap between preclinical and clinical science. The Sector plan Medical Sciences provides funding for 13 structural positions to foster research and education in this field. A prototypic example of personalized medicine within the care domain involves the strong development and positioning of Radboudumc Centers of Expertise for rare diseases .

As a community manager rare disease therapy development you will be responsible for organizing internal meetings on expert topics and educational activities for professionals, improving the accessibility of our expertise to both internal and external networks, and supporting a branding strategy.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to building a Radboudumc community on rare disease therapies.
  • Organize available expertise to strengthen knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the organization of expert advice for Radboudumc researchers.
  • Increase visibility of our expertise in external networks.
  • Organize events on rare disease therapies.
  • Contribute to the organization of educational activities for professionals in the field of therapy development.

Requirements
Specific Requirements

You have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in communication, biomedical sciences or another relevant field and you have at least 3 years of experience in leading complex projects. Experience in the biomedical field, especially drug development and/or rare diseases is a pre. Moreover you are an experienced project manager with a proven track record of successful projects.

Your strong communication skills allow you to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members. With your strong organizational skills, you can efficiently manage multiple projects at once. You are passionate about bringing people together and fostering collaboration among professionals from different disciplines. Additionally, you are fluent in both Dutch and English, both in writing and in speaking.

  • A gross monthly salary between € 4.325 and € 5.919 (scale 11) based on full-time employment.

  • As a full-time employee (36 hours per week), you are entitled to approximately 168 vacation hours (over 23 days) per year.
  • Radboud university medical center pays 70% of the pension premium. You pay the rest of the premium with your gross salary.
