Assistant Professor in Freight & Logistics Systems

In this role as Assistant Professor, you will strengthen our research and teaching and are expected to:

- Perform scientific research in (1) quantitative models of integrated freight transportation and logistics systems, (2) representation of freight transport in models of the traffic system and (3) more climate friendly, equitable and resilient freight & logistic systems.

- Develop a compelling research vision within these themes, in which the use of AI and data analytics methods play a central role.

- Closely collaborate with the other research labs in the T&P department, and become an active member of the TU Delft AI Labs Initiative (https://www.tudelft.nl/ai/tu-delft-ai-labs).

- Support education at TU Delft by leading at least one course (4-5 EC) at MSc level on Freight & Logistics Systems and contribute to several other MSc level courses in the broader topic area of transport system engineering and modelling.

- Interact with a range of national and international stakeholders including transport and logistics experts, industry partners, and policy makers.

- Contribute to the acquisition of (personal or project) research grants from domestic and international research programmes.

- Continuously work on your growth towards a position of associate professor based on a clear development plan, a coaching arrangement and professional training.
