Our mission

Navinfo is the largest Digital Map Provider in China and third largest in the world. Our core competence is the extraction of map related features from images by intense use of Deep Learning and Computer Vision. Part of our mission is to evaluate the latest technology for use in map automation and support business units with the integration of this technology into a production environment.

AI Department

At AI department, we take pride in tackling the most fundamental challenges in computer vision using next-generation brain inspired algorithms which not only drives our AI applications but also make a significant contribution to the AI landscape.

Our key research focuses on deriving inspiration from the progress in multiple disciplines, particularly from Neuroscience and causality, to incorporate findings about how the brain works and humans learn into our models to tackle the most pertinent issues:

• Enabling efficient continual learning
• Understanding the neural networks and reverse engineering them to gain insights for better designs.
• Improving the generalizability of models to out-of-distribution data
• reducing the sensitivity of the models to input data and efficiently train them under noisy crowdsourced datasets
• improving the robustness under malicious attack to create robust, trustworthy AI.
• Reducing the carbon emission of models during training and inference and training compact high performing models for resource-constrained devices.

AI Platform

We are passionate about making AI truly intelligent and easily accessible to everyone. To this end, we are working on streamlining our cutting-edge research and development efforts into a standalone product that enables us to efficiently deliver our research to customers. With the platform, we aim to present and deliver solutions to customers in an elegant, professional, uniform and systematic fashion. The platform acts as a window between us and our customers. It incorporates our AI solutions and provides a graphical user interface (GUI) that non-experts can interact with and carry out different tasks.

Requirements

Your responsibilities

As an AI product manager, your responsibilities would include:

• Develop and drive the product vision for the AI platform and technologies;
• Work closely with the AI team and marketing to develop the functional and technical requirements;
• Understand the AI landscape and market to identify the gaps and develop strategies for uniquely positioning the AI platform and technologies;
• Execute a plan (product roadmap) for the development of the AI platform and technologies;
• Drive continuous improvement of the quality and functionality of AI products in close cooperation with external and internal partners;
• Establish and manage relationships with customers and partners;
• Help the AI team productionize AI solutions;
• Conduct competitor analysis and stay abreast of the AI landscape and market to identify gaps and key requirements;
• Report to Chief AI Scientist.

Competencies

Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the AI landscape and experience in developing AI products:

• A master's degree in computer science;
• Several years of experience as developer (hands-on experience) and product manager;
• Functional knowledge and understanding of AI, preferably computer vision and deep learning;
• Experience with AI consulting, and applying AI for non-AI product/service, and for AI product/services too;
• Technically proficient;
• Motivated to learn more about AI and its promise, limitations, and challenges;
• Understand the technology well and be able to proficiently describe technical concepts to external parties;
• Project development and management experience;
• Business perspective/commercial acumen;
• Passionate about innovation and customer satisfaction.
