Job description

Thanks to you, our staff and students can work on site, from home and on the road. The self-organising Digital WorkSpace team provides staff and students with basic IT services such as email, phone, Unified Communications, printing and a managed workplace.
What will you do?
In cooperation with colleagues, you provide staff and students of Maastricht University with a high-functioning virtual workspace.
You always think two steps ahead, proactively addressing future needs and modifications. You manage, chart and detail the required changes to the application-specific infrastructure and supervise the implementation of functional changes.
You collaborate on Agile ICT projects and advise on solutions to information-related issues. Finally, you analyse disruptions and problems in accordance with ITIL and help to solve them.

  • You have a passion for new information technologies;
  • You are a proactive and independent worker with (preferably) a computer-science background;
  • You think and work at a higher vocational education (HBO) level;
  • You have excellent knowledge of and experience with Powershell;
  • You have three years of demonstrable experience as an MS Exchange (Online) specialist;
  • You are familiar with Microsoft 365, Exchange 2013 and Online;
  • You have an excellent command of oral and written English;
  • You are willing and able to learn Dutch such that you can converse with colleagues and clients on work-related topics.

  • The job classification and salary scale depend on your education and experience. The gross monthly salary ranges from €2,790 to €5,127.
  • Holiday allowance and end-of-year bonus of 8.33% each, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (CAO-NU).
  • An initial two-year fixed employment contract, with the possibility of conversion into a permanent employment contract.
