Position Overview:
The School of Architecture, Planning, and Design (SAP+D) at UM6P is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to our innovative projects in Integrated Systems of Territorial Performance. This position involves pioneering research on the integration and application of new technologies and methodologies to enhance territorial development and sustainability. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our understanding of how integrated systems can optimize the performance of various territories, ranging from urban to rural.

Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development:
Conduct independent and collaborative research projects focused on the development and application of integrated systems for enhancing territorial performance.
Develop new methodologies and tools for analyzing and optimizing territorial dynamics using data-driven approaches and spatial analysis.
Evaluate the impact of integrated systems on the environmental, social, and economic aspects of territorial development.

Collaboration:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including urban planners, environmental scientists, economists, and policy experts.
Participate in collaborative projects with external partners, including government agencies, non-profits, and industry leaders to apply research findings in real-world settings.

Publication and Dissemination:
Publish research findings in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and present work at national and international conferences.
Contribute to the development of research proposals and reports, enhancing the visibility and impact of the SAP+D’s research initiatives.

Engagement and Education:
Engage with stakeholders and policymakers to translate research findings into actionable strategies for territorial improvement.
Develop educational materials and conduct workshops/seminars for students, practitioners, and community leaders on the application of integrated systems in territorial planning.

Project Management:
Lead and manage research projects, including overseeing budgets, timelines, and project deliverables.
Write grant proposals to secure funding for new research initiatives related to integrated territorial systems.

Qualifications:
PhD in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong focus on territorial analysis and performance.
Demonstrated expertise in spatial analysis, systems integration, and performance optimization in territorial contexts.
Proficient in the use of GIS, remote sensing, and other analytical software tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong publication record in relevant academic journals.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.
