The AIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology (IFOM) in the vibrant city of Milan, Italy, invites applications for the position of Junior Group Leader. IFOM, was established in 1998 as the first Italian research center dedicated to exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor formation and progression. In 2022, IFOM secured funding to expand its mission, which now includes rapid and effective translation of basic cancer research findings into clinical applications for patients.

Qualifications:

  • MD, MD/PhD or PhD and postdoctoral research experience Strong publication record Potential to establish an independent, externally-funded research program

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in a matrix environment within academic medicine  Proven success in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
