About Nankai University
Nankai University is located in Tianjin which is one of the four municipalities in China. Nankai University is a multidisciplinary Project 985 & 211 university under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, and it is elected into the national ‘double first-class’ initiative. It features a balance between the Humanities and the Sciences, a solid foundation and a combination of application and creativity. Besides its main campus in Balitai, Nankai University also has a campus in Jinnan District and TEDA College in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area.
In recent years, Nankai University is vigorously implementing the strategy of strengthening the university with talents and the strategy of internationalization to build up the World Class Discipline and University. Tianjin municipal government and Nankai University released a series of policies to attract and cultivate scholars. Positions
1. High-level Talents Support Program of Nankai University (including Chair Professor, Talent Professor and Distinguished Professor)
The applicants should be well-established and highly innovative scientists with outstanding academic records and leadership. Successful applicants will be offered an annual salary of 750,000-1,250,000 RMB (including insurance, pre-tax), research fund of more than 1,500,000 RMB for natural sciences and engineering or 500,000 RMB for humanities and social sciences, and housing subsidy and settling-in allowance of 1,200,000-2,000,000 RMB. The colleges will provide corresponding support such as allowance, scientific research fund as well as laboratory and office.
2. Young Academic Leaders Program of Nankai University
Since the implementation in 2013, the Program of Young Academic Leaders of Nankai University Program has been cultivating high-level leading talents as important reserve forces of the university's high-end talent team. The applicants should have an excellent research foundation and research direction based on the academic frontier with strong innovation ability and outstanding academic development potential. For natural sciences and engineering, applicants of Associate Professor position and Full Professor position should be under the age of 35 and 40 respectively. For humanities and social sciences, applicants of Associate Professor position and Full Professor position should be under the age of 38 and 45 respectively.
Successful applicants will be offered an annual salary of 450,000-800,000 RMB (including insurance, pre-tax), research fund of 500,000 -1,500,000 RMB for natural sciences and engineering or 200,000-500,000 RMB for humanities and social sciences and housing subsidy and settling-in allowance of 200,000-1,000,000 RMB. The colleges will provide corresponding support such as allowance, scientific research fund as well as laboratory and office.
