Associate/Assistant Professor in Physical Education and Sport Studies

The Faculty of Education invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor in Physical Education and Sport Studies.

Qualifications

An earned doctorate degree in Physical Education and Sport Studies or related areas with solid evidence for teaching/research/service. Preference will be given to the candidates with a sustained record of high quality research in the relevant expertise areas. Priority consideration will be given to those with a strong record of publications in competitive refereed journals (e.g., SSCI, SCI or A&HCI indexed journals) in the relevant disciplines and those with professional competence in sports and experiences in participating in international sport tournaments. Candidates are expected to teach related courses of exercise psychology, exercise & nutrition and sports, recreation and leisure studies. 

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2023. 

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP828,100 (approximately USD102,230) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
