Your Role...

The Postdoctoral Researcher is intended to work on the project “SpotFlake: Spotting the Root Causes of Flaky Tests”, which is funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). The postdoc will work on devising a comprehensive suite of solutions that assist developers in debugging flaky tests. Accordingly, they can explore various techniques for the classification, reproduction, and root cause localization of flaky tests. As part of this project, the postdoc will also collaborate with a research engineer in order to build prototypes and proof-of-concept tools.

Postdoc Role: Under the direction of the primary advisor, the candidate will carry out research activities in the area of Software Testing. This includes developing necessary experimental and simulation facilities where required; planning, executing, and analyzing experiments and simulations; conducting joint and independent research activities; contributing to project deliverables, milestones, demonstrations, and meetings; disseminating results at international scientific conferences/workshops and peer reviewed scientific publications.


Your Profile...

Minimum qualifications:

  • PhD in Software Engineering or related
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Commitment, team working, a critical mind, and motivation are more than welcome

In addition, the following would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistics
  • Strong background in software testing
  • Industrial experience in software development

Language Skills: Fluentwritten and oral communication skills in English are required.
