Successful candidates have a unique opportunity of participating in the shaping of a challenging and innovative research themes, as well as contributing to the ambitious research agenda of the CritiX lab, supported by the Luxembourg National Research Fund, FNR, the European Commission and several other projects and industry partnerships, including with Intel Labs and Huawei (https://wwwen.uni.lu/snt/research/critix/research_projects ). Candidates will be given excellent conditions for the development of their research skills, in terms of working conditions, mentoring and laboratory facilities.

CritiX seeks to strengthen its expertise in the development of innovative hardware architectures, capable of withstanding targeted cyberattacks, as drivers for the critical information infrastructure of tomorrow. Our goal is to address new challenges in one or more of the following main research topics:

  • Resilient systems for critical cyber-physical and embedded systems
  • Hardware / operating-system co-design towards radiation and attack tolerant systems (for space and ground)
  • Resilient computing for critical infrastructures and services, including for digital finance

Openings are in the project context of ByzRT, HERA, and ReSAC as well as in ongoing and upcoming industrial partnerships.

The candidate will work closely with Prof. Marcus Völp and the team members of the CritiX Research Group.
