The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research is recruiting a 

Research Assistant 

for the Urban Development and Mobility department (f/m)

  • Ref: 22-28

  • Fixed-term contract till end of December 2022

  • Full-time or part-time

  • Work contract at LISER

  • Expected start date: 15th of November 2022

LISER invites motivated applicants for the position of Research Assistant in the framework of the research projects led by researchers in the Department of "Urban Development and Mobility ". The research project seeks to understand better blockchain applications' impact on the residential real estate market.

Your role

As a Research Assistant, your tasks will include:

  • Programming in R;

  • Developing agent-based models;

  • Data collection and manipulation;

  • Being involved in research projects led by researchers in the Department of Urban Development and Mobility.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, computer science or a related field;

  • Excellent training in programming;

  • Interest in economics, digital transformation and its socio-economic implications;

  • Ideally, a strong interest in real estate economics, agent-based computational economics, blockchain and experience in agent-based simulations;

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English; working knowledge of French would be an advantage;

  • Enthusiasm for research, critical thinking and working in a diverse team.
