Your Role...

As project officer of the Department of Life Sciences and Medicine (DLSM), you will report to the head of department and you will:

Ensure Project and administrative tasks such as :

  • Facilitate set-up of project organization
  • Participate in the formulation of project applications (grant proposals and conventions)
  • Support the PIs with ethics applications to Comité National d’Etique de Recherche and Etics Review Panel
  • Approach possible project members in cooperation with line management
  • Follow-up on documents and complete relevant information about key performance indicators (budget, publications, etc.).
  • Follow-up on project deliverables and progress on milestones
  • Organize and set-up periodic meetings with project staff
  • Take care and follow-up on communication regarding the projects Draw up ad hoc reports for decision making committee and/or project owner
  • Compile and analyse information and prepare project reports, briefings and presentations for Project Managers
  • Provide project owner and project team with ad hoc updates and status reports ; contribute to research, analyse and follow-up on benchmark and other data as needed
  • Support the Principal Investigators in their recruitment, reporting, monitoring schedules and deadlines
  • Coordinate and organize inputs for internal and external communication, press releases, newsletter, homepage
  • Be involved in the organisation of the dissemination/outreach events

What we expect from you…
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by work experience in a field related to Life Sciences (e.g., Cell or Molecular Biology)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience; the focus is on project office/facilitation through the entire project life cycle; experience in laboratory work is appreciated
  • Ability to multi-task across different topics
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Willingness to work in an inter-cultural and international environment
