Pre-award project manager

ICFO is a research center located in the Mediterranean Technology Park in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and currently hosts 400+ people, including researchers, PhD students and staff personnel. Today, in its area of specialization and category, the institute is consistently ranked among the highest-quality research institutions worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Pre-Award Project Manager, who will join our team, help search, and capture competitive funding for ICFO and its Group Leaders´ research activities, providing advice in all relevant aspects of this process.
The main responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Identify competitive calls relevant for ICFO and promote project proposals based on these
  
• Assist ICFO Group Leaders and their team members with the preparation of research proposals, which includes:
  
• Assuring compliance with the call funding policies and regulations
  
  • Preparing specific instructions for how to focus/structure the proposal
    
  • Helping revise drafts of the proposal and provide feedback (format, focus, language, etc.)
    
  • Helping to prepare the proposal budget, both for ICFO and for the project consortium as a whole (when applicable)
    
  • Handle the formal registration and submission of the proposals in any relevant format.
  
  
• Conduct follow-up on all presented proposals and prepare the necessary documentation for formal acceptance and negotiation cycle, including forward all the relevant information and documentation to the Post-Award area.
  
• Prepare generic guidelines and instructions for especially important calls.
  
• Prepare European projects amendments.
  
• General administrative and back-office tasks related to the Pre-Award area.
