The Department of Economics and Management (DEM) of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in Econometrics.


Your Role...

The Postdoctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Professor Gautam TRIPATHI. The Postdoctoral researcher is expected to contribute to:

  • Research in the area of econometrics (theoretical or applied, with a focus on methodology)
  • Writing academic papers for publication in peer reviewed journals and participating in conferences
  • Assisting with teaching activities, one to three hours a week
  • Participating actively in the academic life of the department, e.g., seminars and workshops, and interacting with members of the Empirical Methods Group and PhD students doing applied work

Qualifications...

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Economics (last 5 years) with a specialization in Econometrics.

In particular, the following requirements apply:

  • Strong interest in methodological issues in econometrics
  • Proven ability to autonomously conduct research at a post-doctoral level
  • Proven ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Very good English language skills
