ICFO is offering postdoctoral positions to well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The successful candidates will be joining the Quantum Optics Theory group led by Prof. Dr. Maciej Lewenstein. The group have experience in theoretical physics (quantum physics, quantum information science, statistical physics, ultrafast science, laser physics, mathematical physics, machine learning).

The successful candidate will work within the project MAQS (Magnetic Atoms Quantum Simulator), combining research on quantum technologies, quantum simulators in many body systems with dipolar or, in general long range interactions, and quantum computing with focused studies of quantum correlations and certification-validation-verification of quantum simulators. Skills in state-of –art numerical simulation of quantum many body systems more than welcome.

The tasks will be carried out within the MAQS project till the end of 2022 (end of the project), and continue then with ERC AdG NOQIA. This project co-financed by MINECO-EU QUANTERA (funded by The State Research Agency (AEI) PCI2019-111828-2 / 10.13039/501100011033).
