ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will be joining the Theoretical Quantum-Nano Photonics group led by Prof. Dr. Darrick Chang.

The goal of the project is to numerically and theoretically investigate the bounds of light-matter interaction efficiency in systems consisting of free-space, non-periodic arrays of atoms, when strong multiple scattering and interference is taken into account. The results are expected to be applied toward the development of efficient quantum information protocols. It is also anticipated that machine learning optimization will form the basis of the numerical studies.
