ICFO is a research center located in the Mediterranean Technology Park in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and currently hosts 400+ people, including researchers, PhD students and staff personnel. Today, in its area of specialization and category, the institute is consistently ranked among the highest-quality research institutions worldwide.

We are currently looking for an Mechanical Technician who will join the team and be working on the manufacturing of parts with milling and/or lathe machinery respecting the safety codes established at ICFO, in order to contribute to the development of the research projects under the supervision of the Head of the Mechanical Workshop.

The main responsibilities (although not exclusive) for this position are as follows:
-The correct use of the machinery and the maintenance of these always following the safety
regulations.
-Conservation of the common tools and spaces of the workshop.
-CNC programing of the machine.
-CAM programming of parts.
-Manufacture of extremely precise optomechanical parts.
-Construction of aluminum frames and assembly of these.
