ICFO is a research center located in the Mediterranean Technology Park in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and currently hosts 400+ people, including researchers, PhD students and staff personnel. Today, in its area of specialization and category, the institute is consistently ranked among the highest-quality research institutions worldwide.

ICFO’s Electronics Advanced Engineering Lab is made up of a team of people giving support to ICFO researchers in:
- Manufacturing, repairing, sourcing and purchasing of electronic instruments.
- Design and development of new electronic instruments and devices, including testing and debugging.
- Consulting and advising on general electronics and signal processing.

We are currently looking for an Electronics Engineer, who will join the Electronics Advanced Engineering Lab, reporting directly to the head of this unit and who will get support in areas related to electronics, including the design and fabrication of circuits and prototypes requested by researchers for a variety of projects, under the supervision of the Electronic Workshop Head.

The main responsibilities (although not exclusive) for this position are as follows:

• Design, simulate, manufacture and test of the necessary custom electronics and, if necessary, some mechanical parts.
• Execute the proper tests to debug and detect errors in the prototypes.
• Assembly of customized instruments.
• Repair damaged equipment.
• Creation of technical documentation.
