Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 509244), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent qualification in Microbiology or a related discipline. Research experience in performing live virus infection would be an advantage. Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently. They should also be self-motivated, organized, detail-minded and hardworking. The appointee will be involved in research projects related to emerging viruses, such as coronaviruses, influenza viruses, enteroviruses, and arboviruses under the supervision of Dr. Jasper FW Chan and Dr. Hin Chu.
