The Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology (QIQB) at Osaka University actively promotes interdisciplinary research across its six research domains which span Quantum Computing; Transdisciplinary Quantum Science; Quantum Information Devices; Quantum Communication and Security; Quantum Sensing; and Quantum Biology.
This is position is a fixed term Specially Appointed Assistant Professor (full-time) employed through JST’s COI-NEXT Quantum Software Research Hub. The successful candidate will hold a joint appointment in the Department of Physics in the Graduate School of Science.

[Work content and job description]
We are seeking a full-time Specially Appointed Assistant Professor to conduct the following research within JST’s COI-NEXT Quantum Software Research Hub in collaboration with Associate Professor Nayuta Takemori from the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, who holds a joint appointment with QIQB.
(1) Research and development of quantum-classical hybrid algorithms for quantum many-body systems
(2) Verification of (1) by classical computer simulation
(3) Verification of (1) by actual quantum computer simulation
The successful applicant will hold a concurrent appointment in the Department of Physics in the Graduate School of Science and will be responsible for teaching and supervising the research of students in the laboratory of Associate Professor Nayuta Takemori.

Annual salary:4 million yen - 7 million yen
Wages description:Remuneration: ¥4,851,900〜¥6,228,900 per annum (monthly payments of one-twelfth of annual salary)
Working hours:08:30-17:15
Holidays :Based on “Regulations Pertaining to Working Hours, Holidays and Leave for National University Corporation Osaka University Limited Term Staff”
Overtime and other explanations:Based on consent, The Discretionary Labor System, Special Work Type will be applied (deemed working hours: 8 hours a day)
