Available position: Assistant Professor (tenure track)

Job description: Chemical Engineering, Catalytic Chemistry, Bio-process
(1)Development of novel catalytic processes that contribute to food processing, recycling of food waste, and sterilization methods.

(2) Creation of solid catalyst materials, biocatalyst materials, and new materials that combine solid catalysts and biocatalysts for novel catalytic processes.

Starting date: As soon as possible after the endorsement of the appointment at the professor's meeting of the Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University.

This tenure-track position is for a maximum five-year appointment (from the date of appointment until March 31, 2028)
Mid-term (3rd year) and final (5th year) examinations according to the specified criteria.
The successful candidate who fulfills the criteria will be employed as a permanent Assistant Professor.
If outstanding results are achieved, promotion to a permanent Associate Professor will be considered.
During the tenure-track period, more than 80% of time can be used for research.
Annual research and start-up expenses will be allocated.

(2) Probationary period: A three-month probationary period.

(3) Place of employment: Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University Ito campus (744 Motooka, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka, JAPAN).

(4) Working hours, Break time, Overtime: Based on Discretionary Labor System for professional work.

(5) Days off: Every Saturday and Sunday, national holidays, and New Year's holidays from December 29-January 3 in addition to an annual leave entitlement.

(6) Social Insurance
Employee shall enroll in: Employment insurance, Compensation Insurance, Health Insurance, Employees' pension insurance.
