The basic policy of the Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences at Osaka University is to promote research aimed at elucidating biological functions by developing interdisciplinary research across a wide range of fields, including molecular science, information science and imaging, with a focus on life sciences.

Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences at Osaka University is seeking an outstanding scientist for a full professor position. We are looking for a candidate who develops prominent original research, demonstrates leadership both in Japan and overseas, and actively contributes to the education and management of the Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences.

The position is open to a broad research areas related to neuroscience and brain science.
A successful candidate is expected to be involved in graduate education at the Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, and undergraduate education at Biophysical Engineering Course of Faculty of Engineering Science.

Right after the appointment, successful applicant may form a new group of study and employ an assistant professor or an associate professor (with a maximum employment term of 10 years).
As well as the successful applicant, these faculty members will be responsible at Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, for graduate level educational/research activities, and its management/administration, and as an academic member of School of Engineering Science, will also be responsible for undergraduate level educational/research activities, as well as the management/administration (entrance exams/committee activities).
