We will hire one Associate Professor or Lecturer who is in charge of German Studies.

[Work content and job description]
1. Affiliation:
(1) Research body: Faculty of International Studies, Institute of Human and Social Sciences
(2) Educational body: School of International Studies and the Division of International Studies in the Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies

2. Field of specialization: German Studies (Area studies and contemporary social studies centered around Germany, with a focus on topics such as environment, immigration, gender, and peace)
* The candidate is expected to join the research group of Global Inclusive Society in the College of Human and Social Sciences. This group adopts an interdisciplinary approach to investigate the dynamics of solidarity and instability within globalized societies.

3. Subjects to Teach:
(1) General Education: ”German Beginner Level Class” (2 lessons/week)
(2) School of International Studies: “Lecture on European Society”, “Cross-Cultural Understanding”, “Contemporary European Society”, “Research Seminar”, “Practicum in Different Cultures I (Germany)”, “Practicum in Different Cultures II (Germany)”, “Seminar in German Reading Skills”
* “Cross-Cultural Understanding” and “Contemporary European Society” are omnibus lectures.
* Depending on the year, the candidate may also be in charge of “Introduction to International Studies”, “Academic Skills”, “Presentation and Debate”.
* “Practicum in Different Cultures I (Germany)” includes the coordination and guidance for language training classes in collaboration with partner institutions in Germany.
* Depending on the candidate’s specialization, they could also be in charge of lectures or seminars on German Studies at the School of Humanities.
(3) Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies: “Lecture on German Studies”, “Seminar on German Studies”
