* Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Tanaka Lab. is researching "material AI hardware," in which materials perform computations that mimic the human brain. Material AI hardware is one of the most important next-generation artificial intelligence technologies to replace the current supercomputer-based artificial intelligence that requires enormous power consumption and huge amounts of computation. We are seeking two postdoctoral researchers who will scientifically promote improving the quality of materials, their devices, and circuits, which are the key technologies necessary for the realization of AI hardware. [Work content and job description]
(1) In collaboration with Prof. Tanaka and Assistant Professor Dr. Usami, conduct experimental research on material AI hardware from the standpoint of a specialist in materials science, material chemistry, or analog integrated circuits. However, experience in the field is not required as long as the candidate is willing to conduct research.
