･Outline of the field and responsibilities
The Cooperative Department of Veterinary Medicine consists of five educational fields: Basic Veterinary Science, Pathogenetic Veterinary Science, Applied Veterinary Science, Small Animal Clinical Veterinary Science, and Large Animal Clinical Veterinary Science. Among them, this job announcement is to fill the position of Professor or Associate Professor in charge of Applied Veterinary Science (Veterinary Public Health).
Major responsibilities include general veterinary public health, zoonoses, veterinary public health laboratory, hands-on practice in veterinary public health, as well as all-university common education courses and specialized undergraduate basic courses (shared). Since our department has adopted a joint curriculum with the Department of Veterinary Medicine of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, we are also responsible for the education of students affiliated with that university. We are also in charge of research guidance at the Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences (doctoral course). In addition, it may be appointed as a researcher at the Food Animal Medicine and Food Safety Research Center, and Farm Animal Clinical Skills and Disease Control Center, both affiliated with the Faculty of Agriculture.

Salary and Benefits: Based on the salary regulations of Iwate University and subject to annual salary system (Retirement allowance is paid at the time of retirement.)
Working Hours: Discretionary working system for professional work, 7 hours and 45 minutes of de facto working per day
