The university's founding principle is to be an international university that contributes to world peace and to the prosperity of the community through education and research in science and arts. The applicant should have significant research achievements in "Hiroshima and Nuclear Issues" and be willing to conduct research, teach, contribute to the community, and perform duties for university management.

[Work content and job description]
Responsibilities in research, education, social and community contribution, and on-campus duties, including entrance examination tasks and tasks for the institute, the university and the Hiroshima Peace Platform.
"Hiroshima and Nuclear Issues"

Graduate: (1) "Nuclear Culture" and (2) "Global Hibakusha"or a similarly related course, both for the Graduate School of Peace Studies and (3) "Hiroshima in the Age of Nuclear Weapons" for all students from all graduate schools. All of these courses should be provided in English. In addition, "Peace Studies Special Seminar" in the master program and for Professors teach "Peace Studies Research Seminar" in the doctoral program. All of these courses should be provided in English.
Undergraduate: "Peace Studies I, II" and "Peace in the Internationalized Age" (all of these are omnibus courses)*.
* Other teaching duties in graduate/undergraduate education courses may be added. Duties related to entrance examinations for undergraduate students of Hiroshima City University as well as graduate students of Graduate School of Peace Studies may also be added.
